As I'm writing this, It’s just under a month until we open and WOW are we excited!  Darin has been in the restaurant business for decades but I’m in health care so this is a whole new journey for me!

While Darin is hard at work on menu’s, staffing, sourcing suppliers and getting all of the required permits…. I get to focus on giving the place a bit of a facelift to make it ready for the first day!

We are taking over a building that has been serving the community for the last 5 years as a restaurant and before that as a School (Ecole Belle Cloche) and even the coast guard office.  Our vision for this building is grand!

The main entrance will be through the Pub off the patio.   And while we can’t wait to open up the patio that will have to wait until the weather won’t make the beer a popsicle!  The pub will be open early for breakfast and late for drinks and food will always be available!  Our goal is to serve delicious home style meals in a warm, relaxed environment.  We’d like this to be your home away from home!  Come watch the game, take advantage of our cards and crib boards or teach the kids to play checkers while you wait for your meal.

The restaurant will open for lunch, dinner and whenever the pub is overflowing. It seats almost 50 people and if it gets full we have a private room that can easily seat 25 more.

This week things are getting a face lift – new paint and some new décor ideas.  Soon the construction on the separation between the restaurant and pub will be underway!

For those of you who frequented the Sheltered Harbour we will be happy to have you come see what we have done.  For those who have never ventured this way – we will welcome you with open arms and know you won’t leave hungry.

Cheers!  Linda
