Find out about our 2 private rooms and catering options!
Well some summer weather has finally arrived – and our patio furniture has been dragged out of storage, cleaned up and all ready to go…!!
We have been open just over 2 months and while there have been some hiccups I think we are, for the most part, getting it right. A big part of that is our commitment to fresh food.....
I figure it's beyond time to introduce you to our staff who have been hard working for the last 51 days - yup, we've been open 51 days now and got through burger love!
We currently have a staff of 25 - and will need more for the summer! A full 10 are missing from pictures - either well deserved days off or recovering from setting day - a number of our staff also are working fisher men and women.
There are the hostesses - a group of young girls who are happy to seat you and get you anything that you need - and when needed jump in and clean, wash dishes, mop floors, answer the phones and take take out orders!
Dakota and Shea, a hostess and a waitress, are available for our francophone guests. Sarah Jane (another hostess, not pictured) also speaks french.
Our front of house staff are a mix of new servers and experienced ones. We have thrown a lot of new processes and technology at them and they have performed admirably.
We also have an amazing back of house staff that has taken everything we have thrown at them - including a popular burger for burger love only 21 days into the business.
This crew, including the ones who aren't pictured, are the heart and soul of what makes Lot 45 run - and we are so proud of all of their hard work and dedication and look forward to the coming summer season.
The snow is finally melting. People are switching over their tires. The lobster traps are down at the wharf ready for loading and the dog regularly rolls in something absolutely questionable. And we are almost finished April - the end of burger love and the start of the spring/summer season!
Have you heard of the cloud? Learn about our experience!
Yay...a moment to catch my breath.
Burger love has been going well but in truth I haven't had much time to catch my breath over the last week!
The gunslinger is going over well and the combination of our fantastic 5 oz burger and the crunch of the crispy jalapenos and onions with some smoky bbq and a little horseradish kick makes this burger one not to miss!
I am amazed at how many different people come by to try Burger Love and am happy we are part of the competition. I am equally amazed by the number of people who have come to support us every week and it is wonderful to have familiar faces already!
Last weekend was the Marshall Eastman Tournament and we were happy to host a great group of people Friday night. Of course, as it goes, with people and alcohol there was an incident... but nothing that wasn't remedied quickly and no lasting damage done. We will be happy to have everyone from the tournament again next year.
This weekend there is a Bonspiel in Souris and we are excited to welcome anyone post curling to come and have a meal or a drink with us!
We have finally gotten our staff uniforms - so you should see our servers and kitchen staff decked out in some Lot 45 swag. We got lots of compliments on them and have been asked if we will be selling merchandise. We are putting another order in soon and so we will have some shirts and hats available for sale in the coming months!
I did take a number of photos last weekend of everyone in their swag but I haven't had time to upload them yet. Keep an eye over the coming weeks
Have a great weekend. Rainy as it may be the sun is coming and with it... so will days at the beach and sand in your toes :)
Cheers - Linda
So here at Lot 45 we love our burgers. In fact, a best-seller has emerged from our menu, and it is the Lot 45 Bacon Double Cheeseburger - and as many will attest, it is wonderful.
I'm writing this on the first day of spring.... and with the layer of snow we got last night it does not look like the crocuses will be blooming at all... unlike my lovely friends and family on the west coast who posted photos of putting their gardens in - could you imagine!
WOW, What a week!
We're very excited to have been featured featured in the Guardian
Well.....The first weekend is under our belt. We opened quietly on Friday morning, then rapidly decided to be less quiet about it....
