Darin McAree grew up in Newport, Prince Edward Island, and since the mid-1980's has been working in various kitchens around the Charlottetown area. The name Lot 45 originates from a time when PEI was once divided into 67 lots and Souris was situated in the lot known as Lot 45.
Inspired by Souri's nautical culture, a ships wheel was fashioned out of dining utensils and made to resemble Lot 45's vision of friends gathering to dine and share a meal together.
